Weekends work: presentation ideas

Greetings comrades. I'm very nervous about my first post. What do I say?

Over the weekend I plan to come up with some templates in photoshop for the presentations, and later in the week have a play around with Artlantis, to refresh my rendering ability.

Long Weekend

I will be submerged in a forest over the long weekend, totally unreachable by modern technology.  I was going to add "except by Landrover" but I was reminded there's no modern technology there!  Anyway if anyone is working on the model good luck and I think as a precaution keep a copy on your own computer as well as what you save to dropbox.  The dropbox, flikr, blog combo may work well in the absence of teamwork.  Talk next week.

Design Progress 28/09/2011

Hi All

After consulting with the team and receiving Andrew’s original Archicad model on the 27/06/2011, the following design changes have been implemented.

1- Panel sliding doors added to the east facing wall of the ground living area.

2 - Panel sliding window added to the east facing wall to a height of 750

3 - Cascading decking from the upper ground entertaining to the lower ground sleeping area.

4 - Glass balustrade

5 - Access from the sleeping area through large panel sliding door in the east facing wall

6 - Increased windows size on the south facing wall of the sleeping area to floor to ceiling height.

7 - Added panel sliding windows above the kitchen

I have documented the above changes on flicker below and left the archicad file in our drop box

Become a Blogger

Okay, we have worked out how everyone can post and Karl has tried it out.  Check your inbox for an invite and give it a go.  Sensible and constructive posts only though - we are being marked on this.  Karl and I have talked about whether we should try and structure the blog into subjects or whether it should be a running commentary.  I favour the running commentary because I think it keeps a better timeline but also I think if you have something to say about the project or your progress you should post it under your name rather than have it get lost among the comments in another post.  It follows from that, that comments then become discussion about or response to a post.  Thats confusing isn't it - I say let's just kick it off and see how it pans out - COMMENTS PLEASE.

Archicad Teamwork Problems

Due to the ongoing problems with logging onto the model on the server we will have to share the model around.  Karl and Fleur have spoken to Ian who is okay with this and I will follow up with an email.  For his part, Karl has gone as far as he can at the moment and will hand over to Carla and Fleur for the weekend.  This is going to be untidy but a better option than waiting for the server access to be sorted if we want to make ground over the break.
